History of the DC Universe was an attempt to summarize the new history of the DC Universe to establish what was canonical after Crisis reformed the multiverse into a single universe.[1] In the original planning of Crisis on Infinite Earths, the History would have formed the final two issues, following the destruction of the Multiverse at the Beginning of Time, but this was changed. History of the DC Universe had been one of the working titles for Crisis on Infinite Earths.[2]
The loose plotline of the series involves the character Harbinger chronicling the past, present, and future of the post-Crisis DC Universe. The history is mostly told through one- and two-page splash pages, accompanied by brief prose. At the end of the series, Harbinger places the history in a capsule and launches it into space. In the subsequent series Millennium, this history is intercepted by the Manhunters and used against Earth's superheroes.Marvel Comics superstar writer Brian Michael Bendis created Jessica Jones for the adult-oriented comic Alias, which had nothing to do with Jennifer Garner. Jones, who gained powers after a classic chemical spill that also left her an orphan, was retconned into continuity with a backstory tying into the past of various iconic superheroes.
She was cast as a classmate of Peter Parker's (hell, she even had a crush on him) and was inspired by his crimefighting as Spider-Man to become a superhero too - taking on the identity of Jewel. Yes, Jewel.
Which was all fine, until she was mind-controlled and physically abused (we told you it was adult) by the villain Purple Man. Deciding that superheroics weren't for her, she quit and opened a detective agency, which is where we find her in Marvel's Jessica Jones.
Breaking Bad and Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23 star Krysten Ritter will be donning Jessica's... well, she doesn't have a costume as such. But from the preview pictures (see above) she is wearing what appears to be a giant... snood. Ritter has donned that snood.
Jessica isn't alone

Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Zebediah Killgrave
Naturally, Jessica won't just be carting her troubles around the streets on her lonesome.
Mike Colter (Halo's Agent Jameson Locke) will be playing indestructible superhero Luke Cage ahead of his own self-titled series. He's promised that the future Mr Jessica Jones will be a "darker, grittier, more tangible character than Iron Man or Thor", and if reports are to be believed their relationship will be as erotically charged as it was in Alias.
Doctor Who's David Tennant will be mind-controlling former Soviet spy Zebediah Kilgrave, presumably still the source of Jessica's troubles, although the Scottish actor has promised a complex character with the kind of multiple layers seen in Daredevil antagonist Wilson Fisk. As far as we can tell from the set photos, his skin won't be comic-book purple, and don't even ask us where the second 'l' in his name (originally Killgrave) was lost in the journey from comics to screen.

Michelle Veintimilla Guest-Stars as Bridgit Pike/FireflyÂ
GOTHAM will introduce the first-ever female Firefly (Michelle Veintimilla, âNot Coolâ) in a special two-night event beginning tonight (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) and continuing next Monday, Oct. 26  (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. In the episodes, âBridgit Pikeâ (Veintimilla) is enslaved by her brothers, a notorious gang of arsonists, and forced into the family business. When she catches the eye of Selina Kyle (Camren Bicondova), the young Catwoman and the soon-to-be-Firefly team up to put Bridgitâs fire-starting skills to good use. But after a deadly encounter with the Pike Brothers, the weak, quiet girl is transformed into a vengeful Super-Villain, hell-bent on destroying those who have wronged her.  Â
Watch/share a first-look clip at the introduction of Bridgit Pike and the infamous Pike family here:Â https://youtu.be/PcCtt7z4zCI. Also, attached is a custom DC Comics illustration of GOTHAMâs Firefly, to share on social media.Â
âWe decided to make Firefly a woman because we wanted to describe how even a warm, loving and compassionate person can turn to the dark side when life pushes him or her that way,â explains show creator and executive producer Bruno Heller. âShe's not driven by testosterone-fueled aggression, but by a burning sense of injustice. Michelle Veintimilla brings warmth and vulnerability to the role that conceals a steely core of strength and courage.â
Also on tonightâs episode, a rivalry between the Waynes and the Galavans resurfaces, and Gordon (Ben McKenzie) struggles to maintain order in the city. Then, next Monday, Kringle (guest star Chelsea Spack) and Nygmaâs (Cory Michael Smith) relationship takes a new step, and Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor) and Galavan (James Frain) continue to battle for control of Gotham Cityâs underworld.
Michelle Veintimilla is a film, television and theater actress. She recently made her Broadway debut alongside Chita Rivera, in the Tony Award-nominated musical âThe Visit.â Later this year, she will be seen in the feature films âFathers and Daughters,â opposite Russell Crowe, Octavia Spencer and Aaron Paul; and âLove the Coopers,â which debuts this November. Last year, she starred in the independent Shane Dawson feature âNot Coolâ and âThe Chair.â Veintimillaâs recent television credits include âBlue Bloods,â âThe Good Wifeâ and âLimitless.â She is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University and currently resides in New York City.Â
GOTHAM: RISE OF THE VILLAINS is based upon the characters from DC Comics and is produced by Warner Bros. Television. The series is written and executive-produced by Bruno Heller (âThe Mentalistâ), directed and executive-produced by Emmy Award nominee Danny Cannon (the âCSIâ franchise, âNikitaâ) and executive-produced by John Stephens. âLikeâ GOTHAM on Facebook at facebook.com/GOTHAMonFOX.
