Writer Maria Belinska claims that bagels began their long history in Germany and migrated to Poland around the 14th century. In those days Jews were forbidden to bake bread. As the church rules relaxed over the years the bagel became the staple in Jewish cuisine. Bagels arrived in the US with the Eastern European Jews in the late 19th-century. Bagels became a trendy food in the late 1970s. In this Storyboard I will share the history and some fun ways to enjoy America’s favorite bread.
