It was a different kind of Black Friday this year. The day after Thanksgiving is regarded as the beginning of the Christmas shopping season, and the pandemic changed things drastically. Many declined to go to crowded stores. Those shoppers who did were masked up and were urged to keep their distance from one another. Struggling retailers were eager to get the business and slashed prices.
